This bulletin is being updated with VIN breakpoint information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-64-010 (Section 08 - Body & Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment on a loose lower auxiliary seal strip on one or more side doors and/or road noise coming from one or more side doors.

Cause

The lower auxiliary seal strip may have become loose or partially detached.

Correction

Replace the lower auxiliary seal strip on each affected door.

Service Procedure

1. Inspect each door lower auxiliary seal strip for proper fit.

2. If any lower auxiliary seal strip is loose or is becoming detached, carefully remove the affected lower auxiliary seal strip.

3. Clean the bottom edge of the door with isopropyl alcohol.

4. Make sure the contact area along the bottom edge of the door is clean and dry.

5. Align the new lower auxiliary seal strip with the bottom inboard edge of the door and press it firmly against the lower edge of the door. Make sure the flocked portion of the seal is angled upward.

6. Verify that the noise concern, if applicable, is resolved.
