Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the rear transaxle mount.
4. Remove the steering gear.
5. Disconnect the stabilizer links from the stabilizer shaft.
6. Remove the stabilizer bar mounting clamp bolts and clamps from both sides of the vehicle.
7. Remove the bushings from the stabilizer bar.
8. Lift and rotate the stabilizer bar up and to the right.
9. Carefully remove the stabilizer bar from the right side of the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Move the stabilizer bar into position from the right side of the vehicle.
2. Install the stabilizer bushings on the stabilizer bar with the cut line facing rearward.
3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the stabilizer bar clamps and bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the stabilizer links to the stabilizer shaft.
5. Install the steering gear.
6. Install the rear transaxle mount.
7. Install the front wheels.
8. Lower the vehicle.
