Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: The drives door window regulator and motor Must be replaced as an assembly. The right door is serviceable as door window regulator or motor.

1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Remove the front door water deflector.
3. Raise the window far enough in order to gain access to the bolts (1, 2) that attach the window to the regulator.




4. Remove the bolts (1, 2) that attach the window to the regulator.
5. Raise the window to the full up position and tape in place.




6. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the power window motor by pulling out on the tab (1).
7. Remove the front door window regulator.




8. Remove the window regulator and motor through the access opening in the inner panel.
9. Remove the power window motor bolts from the window regulator.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the power window motor bolts to the window regulator.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

2. Install the window regulator and motor through the access opening.
3. Install the front door window regulator.




4. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the power window motor by pushing in on the tab (1).




5. Remove the masking tape.
Lower the window far enough in order to gain access to the bolts (1, 2) that attach the window to the regulator.
6. Install the bolts (1, 2) that attach the window to the regulator.

Install the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Inspect the window for proper operation.
8. Install the front door water deflector.
9. Install the front door trim panel.
