Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement (Non-Fold Flat)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the head restraint.
3. Remove the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion.




4. Position the seat back forward to expose the lower J-hook retainer on the seat back trim cover.
5. Disconnect the J-hook retainer.
6. Position the seat back rearward and pull the trim cover out from between the seat back and the cushion.





Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.

7. Pull the seat back cover up. Carefully disengage the hook and loop and retainers until the head restraint guides are exposed.




8. Squeeze the head restraint locking tabs.
9. Pull the guides up and out of the seat back frame, the pad, and the trim cover.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the head restraint guides by pushing the guides into the seat back trim cover, the pad, and the frame. Push until you engage the locking tabs.




2. Install the seat back trim cover. Press over the hook and loop fasteners to ensure that the fasteners engage.
3. Push the trim cover between the seat back and the cushion.




4. Install the trim cover J-hook retainer.
5. Install the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion.
6. Install the head restraint.
7. Install the front seat from the vehicle.
