Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement (Fold Flat)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
2. Position the seat back in the upright position.
3. Remove the outer trim panel from the seat back recliner.
4. Remove the outer trim panel.




5. Remove the seat adjuster handle by squeezing the both sides toward the center of the seat.




6. Disconnect the rear J-hook retainer.
7. Remove the fold-flat cable from the hook in the seat cushion frame.




8. Remove the seat cushion frame bolts.
9. Remove the cushion and frame assembly from the seat.




10. Disconnect the remaining J-hook retainers.
11. Remove the trim and pad assembly from the seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat cushion pad and trim assembly to the frame.
2. Connect the front and the side J-hook retainers.
3. Install the seat cushion assembly to the seat.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the seat cushion frame bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

5. Install the fold-flat cable into the hook in the cushion frame.




6. Install the rear J-hook retainer.




7. Install the seat adjuster handle.




8. Install the seat side trim.
9. Install the outer trim panel to the seat back recliner.
10. Install the seat.

Caution: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction.

11. Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup.
