Condition
Some customers may comment that when driving the vehicle at low speed with high electrical loads, the charging system light will be illuminated on the instrument cluster with an MIL. The concern is typically hard to duplicate. DTC P0626 may or may not be present.
DTC P0626: Generator F-Terminal Circuit High Voltage
Cause
This condition may be caused by high electrical load and low engine speeds.
Correction
If routine diagnostics using SI does not reveal any obvious cause for the concern, DO NOT replace the generator. To correct this condition, reprogram the ECM.
The calibration numbers required for this service procedure are programmed into control modules via a Techline Tech 2(R) scan tool and TIS2Web with the calibration update. Use TIS2Web version 4.5 for 2007 (available on 04/23/07) and on TIS DVD version 5.0/2007 or later, which will be mailed to dealers on 05/09/2007. If you cannot access the calibration, call the Techline Customer Support Center and it will be provided.
