Waterleak and/or Wind Noise Coming From Front of Convertible Top at Windshield Frame (Inspect for Weatherstrip Damage)

2006-2009 Pontiac Solstice
2007-2009 Saturn SKY
Condition
Some customers may comment about a waterleak and/or wind noise at the front of the convertible top in the area where the top contacts the windshield frame.
Cause
This condition may be the result of improper convertible top operation when closing and securing the top. A tear in the weatherstrip may be the result of the top locating pins coming in contact with the weatherstrip.
Correction
Inspect the windshield frame weatherstrip for damage caused by contact with the top locating pins, as noted in the graphic above. Damage could be on either side, directly above the locating pin guides. If such damage is evident, replacement of the weatherstrip is NOT a warranty repair.

This is not a warranty repair. The condition was the result of improper operation of the convertible top.
Customers should be referred to their Owner Manual regarding the proper operation of the convertible top in order to avoid repeat damage.
