Rear Door Lock Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)




2. Partly loosen the water vapor barrier.
Loosen the water vapor barrier in the area of the hatching.
3. Disconnect the lock catch wiring harness plug.
Remove the retainer and disconnect the wiring harness plug.




4. Remove the fastening pins between the door handle and lock.
Remove the plastic retainer and release fastening pins.




5. Remove the lock.
Remove the 3 bolts.




6. Remove the cable from rear door inner door actuation.
Remove the cable from the bracket and take out of lock.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the cable to the inner door actuation.
Push the cable back into lock and clip into bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the rear door lock.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

3. Connect the lock catch wiring harness plug.
Connect and latch the wiring harness plug.
4. Install the fastening pins between the door handle and lock.
Install the fastening pins and clip the plastic retainer.
5. Install the water vapor barrier.
6. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair)
