Rear Seat Back Cushion Latch Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat.

1. Unlock at the loop (1) and support in the rear area (arrow).
2. Remove the rear seat upwards.

2. Remove the head restraint.




3. Remove the rear seat backrest.

1. Remove bolt at the front.
2. Remove the belt buckle.
3. Remove the 2 side bolts.
4. Fold down the rear seat backrest.
5. Remove the bolt at the back.






Important: Second mechanic is required.


4. Remove the rear seat backrest.
Remove the rear seat backrest from the side guide.




5. Remove the rear seat backrest cover.
Remove the 9 clips (l).
6. Remove the left bracket.
Remove the bolts (1), (II).
7. Remove the upholstery covering all the way around.
8. Remove the head restraint guide sleeve.
Remove the head restraint guide sleeve 2.




9. Remove the upholstery covering.

1. Remove the 7 clamps.
2. Remove the upholstery covering.

10. Remove the release handle panel seat backrest.




11. Remove the lock and the rear seat backrest.

1. Drill out the 4 rivets (arrows).
2. Pull the cable from the fastening plate.




Installation Procedure

1. Install the lock and the rear seat backrest.

1. Insert the cable into fastening plate.
2. Install the 4 rivets.

2. Install the release handle panel seat backrest.
3. Install the upholstery covering.
Position the upholstery covering.
4. Install the 7 clamps.
5. Install the head restraint guide sleeve.
Engage the 2 head restraint guide sleeves (audible click).
6. Insert the surrounding upholstery covering.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

7. Install the left bracket.

Tighten the 2 bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

8. Install the rear seat backrest cover.
Install the 9 clips.
9. Install the headrest.
10. Insert the rear seat backrest.
11. Install the rear seat backrest.

* Tighten the 2 side bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
* Tighten the screw at the back to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).


12. Fold down the rear seat backrest.

Important: Use screw locking compound.


13. Insert the seat belt buckle.

Tighten the front screw to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

14. Install the rear seat.
15. Insert the rear seat cushion and position.
