Tail Lamp Wiring Harness Replacement (Sedan)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .

Important: Replace or repair wiring harnesses observing the safety regulations of electric/electronics.


1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the rear compartment side panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the wiring harness, rear end panel.

* Disconnect the 7 wiring harness plugs.
* Disconnect the ground connection.
* Remove the nut.
* Release the 16 clips.
* Remove the wiring harness.




Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the wiring harness, rear end panel.

* Position the wiring harness.
* Install the 16 clips.
* Connect the ground connection.

Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

* Connect the 7 wiring harness plugs.

2. Install the rear compartment side panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair) .
3. Connect the battery.
4. For reprogramming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
