Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the hood.
2. Place a drip pan underneath.
3. Remove the oil filter insert.

* Remove the oil filter housing cover (1).
* Remove the oil filter insert and dispose of it.

4. Raise the vehicle by its full height.
5. Remove the oil drain bolt.
Collect the engine oil.



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the oil drain bolt to the oil pan.
Use the new seal ring.

Tighten the drain bolt to 14 N.m (124 lb in).

2. Lower the vehicle by its full height.
3. Install the oil filter insert.

* Insert the new oil filter insert in the oil filter housing adapter.
* Insert the new seal ring in the cover of the oil filter housing adapter.
* Coat with the clean engine oil.
* Tighten the cover of the oil filter housing adapter.

Tighten the cover to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).


4. Top up the engine oil.

* Use specified volume of engine oil.
* Start the engine and allow it to run until the oil pressure control indicator goes off.
* Inspect the engine oil level.

5. Close the hood.
6. Reset the service interval indicator.
