KM-6009 Remover/Installer


Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.




2. Remove the engine wiring trough (1) from the cylinder head.
Position the wiring trough to one side.
3. Disconnect the DIS-ignition module wiring harness plug (2).




4. Remove the DIS-ignition module.


Important: Note the arrow on the cover.


* Remove the cover of the DIS-ignition module in the direction of the arrow.
* Remove the 2 bolts.
* Remove from the spark plugs using KM-6009 (1).




Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .


Important: When installing a new DIS-ignition module it is not necessary to replace the gaskets.


1. Install the DIS-ignition module (1) with KM-6009 .

* Replace the gaskets (2).

Tighten the 2 bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

* Install the DIS-ignition module cover.

2. Connect the DIS-ignition module wiring harness plug.
3. Connect the engine wiring trough to cylinder head.
4. Close the hood.
