Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement

KM-924 Blanking Plugs


Removal Procedure






Important: Place a drain pan underneath - transmission fluid escapes.


1. Remove the connection hoses (1).
Disconnect the 2 retaining clamps (2) from the snap fitting.
2. Seal the apertures with KM-924 .





Important: Note the installation position of the fluid cooler line to ensure the connecting hoses are not kinked or twisted once assembled. Take the engine tilting movement into account.


3. Remove the lower fluid cooler line (3) with the connection hose from the fluid cooler.
Remove the bolt.
4. Remove the upper fluid cooler line (4) with the connection hose from the fluid cooler.
Remove the bolt.



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .


Important: Note the installation position.


1. Install the lower fluid cooler line (3) with the connection hose to the fluid cooler.
Use NEW seal rings.

Tighten the bolt 25 N.m (18 lb ft).


Important: Note the installation position.


2. Install the upper fluid cooler line (4) with the connection hose to the fluid cooler.
Use NEW seal rings.

Tighten the bolt 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the connection hoses to the fluid cooler lines.

* Use NEW seal rings (1).
* Install the 2 retaining clamps to the snap fitting.

4. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check (Transmission Fluid Check) .
