First and Reverse Brake Piston Removal
1. Remove the 1st and reverse clutch backing plate retaining ring (518) with a screwdriver.
2. Remove the 1st and reverse clutch plates-steel (517), 1st and reverse clutch plate assemblies-fiber (516) and the 1st and reverse clutch backing plate (519).
3. While pushing the 1st and reverse clutch spring assembly (513) by hand, remove the 1st and reverse clutch spring retaining ring (514) with a screwdriver.
4. Remove the 1st and reverse clutch spring assembly (513).
5. While pushing the 1st and reverse clutch piston (511) by hand, apply compressed air 392 KPa (56 psi) into the oil passage of transaxle case as shown in the figure to remove the 1st and reverse clutch piston (511).
6. Remove the 1st and reverse clutch piston inner seal (510), and the 1st and reverse clutch piston outer seal (512) from the 1st and reverse clutch piston (511).
