Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the solvent container washer hose from the windshield washer hose.
3. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container.
4. Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Disconnect the washer level sensor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
7. Remove the washer solvent container nuts.
8. Remove the washer solvent container from the left frame rail.
9. Remove and transfer the following components from the washer solvent container:
* The washer pump assembly and seal-Refer to Washer Pump Replacement (Washer Pump Replacement).
* The washer level sensor and seal-Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
* The solvent container cap
* The solvent container hose-Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Replacement (Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Replacement).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the following components to the washer solvent container:
* The washer pump assembly and seal-Refer to Washer Pump Replacement (Washer Pump Replacement).
* The washer level sensor and seal-Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Level Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
* The solvent container cap
* The solvent container hose-Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Replacement (Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Replacement).
2. Position the washer solvent container to the left frame rail.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).
3. Install the washer solvent container nuts.
Tighten the screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Connect the washer pump electrical connector.
5. Connect the washer level sensor electrical connector.
6. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
8. Connect the washer solvent container hose to the windshield washer hose.
9. Close the hood.
10. Inspect the washers for proper operation.
