Charge Air Bypass Valve Solenoid Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the charge air bypass solenoid.
3. Reposition the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose clamp (5) at the turbocharger and remove the hose.
4. Remove the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose from the turbocharger coolant feed hose clamps (4).
5. Reposition the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose clamp (3) at the charge air cooler outlet pipe and remove the hose.
6. Reposition the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose clamp (1) at the intake manifold and remove the hose.
7. Remove the charge air bypass solenoid bolts (2).




8. Remove the charge air bypass solenoid.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the charge air bypass solenoid to the engine.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the charge air bypass solenoid bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose to the intake manifold and position the clamp (1).
4. Install the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose to the charge air cooler outlet pipe and position the clamp (3).
5. Install the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum hose to the turbocharger coolant feed hose clamps (4).
6. Install the charge air bypass solenoid vacuum to from the turbocharger and install the clamp (5).
7. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the charge air bypass solenoid.
8. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
