Charge Air Cooler Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement) .
2. Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement) .
3. Remove the front radiator air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front bumper fascia air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement) .
5. Remove the charge air cooler bolts.
6. Remove the charge air cooler.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the charge air cooler.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the charge air cooler bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the front bumper fascia air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement) .
4. Install the front radiator air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement) .
6. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement) .
