DTC B1000

Diagnostic Instructions

- Trouble Code Memory Full

Circuit/System Description

This DTC indicates the memory status of the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM).

Conditions for Running the DTC

Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The module has detected that the memory for recording DTCs has become full.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The module refuses all additional inputs.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

* A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
* A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold of 100, without a repeat of the malfunction.

Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition ON, verify that no current SDM DTCs exist.

If any current DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle (Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions).

Verify that DTC B1000 46 is not set as current.

If DTC is set as a current, clear DTC. If DTC sets, replace the SDM.

Repair Instructions
