Power Steering Pump Hoses and Pipes Replacement (ZF)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front frame. Refer to Front Frame Replacement (Removal) (Front Frame Replacement (Removal))Front Frame Replacement (Replacement) (Front Frame Replacement (Replacement)).

Note: Oil will run out, use a drain pan.

2. Remove the holder (1).
3. Remove the supply line (2) and the return line (3) from the steering gear.
Remove the bolt.





Note: Oil will run out, use a drain pan.

4. Remove the supply and return lines from the electro-hydraulic supply unit.
Remove the bolt (1).

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the supply and return lines to the steering gear with new seal rings.

Tighten the bolt to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).

2. Install the supply and return lines to the electro-hydraulic supply unit with the new seal rings.

Tighten the bolt to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).

3. Clip the holder for the supply and return lines to the steering gear.
4. Install the front frame. Refer to Front Frame Replacement (Removal) (Front Frame Replacement (Removal))Front Frame Replacement (Replacement) (Front Frame Replacement (Replacement)).
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
