Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the driver door.
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
Remove the wiring harness plug in the direction of the arrow.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Remove and discard the 3 nuts (2).

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Use NEW nuts.

Tighten the 3 nuts to 12 Nm (106 lb in).

2. Install the wiring harness plug.
3. Install the I/P insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Close the driver door.
