Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair




Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. If equipped with air conditioning, remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. If equipped with air conditioning, remove the compressor.

* Remove the 3 bolts (1).
* Set aside.

3. Place a drip pan underneath.




4. Remove the oil pressure switch/sensor.

* Disconnect the wiring harness connector.
* Push back the heat shield.
* Remove the oil pressure switch/sensor.

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the oil pressure switch/sensor.

Tighten the oil pressure switch/sensor to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

* Install the wiring harness plug.
* Install the heat shield.

2. Vehicles with air conditioning-Attach the compressor.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).

3. If equipped with air conditioning, attach the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Lower the vehicle by its full height.
5. Inspect the engine oil level and correct if necessary.
6. Close the hood.
