Front Differential Carrier Seal Installation

KM 446 - Installer Drift

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Tools and Equipment).




1. Using KM 446 - installer drift , drive in a NEW front differential carrier seal assembly (800). Distance of carrier seal from the outer edge of the torque converter housing 5.2-6.2 mm (0.20-1.24 in).
2. Coat the NEW front differential carrier seal assembly with grease.




3. Using KM 446 - installer drift , drive in a NEW front wheel drive shaft oil seal (80). Distance of front wheel drive shaft oil seal from the outer edge of the transmission case assembly (17) 0±0.5 mm (0.0-0.02 in).
4. Coat the NEW front wheel drive shaft oil seal with grease.
