Output Gear Cleaning and Inspection




1. Clean the output gear assembly (12) in solvent and air dry.
2. Inspect the gears for the following:

* Chipped teeth
* Metal debris embedded in the teeth
* Excessive wear
* Abnormal wear pattern

3. Rotate the output gear bearing and feel for roughness or noise.
4. If any of the above conditions are found, replace the output gear assembly (12). This assembly is serviced only as a complete assembly.
