KM-652 Flywheel Holding Tool

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission) (Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission))Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only) (Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only)).
2. Remove the thrust plate and clutch disc. Refer to Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Pilot Bearing Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the flywheel.

* Lock the flywheel via the starter ring gear with KM-652 (1).
* Remove the 6 bolts.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the flywheel.

* Clean the thread in the crankshaft.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

* Use new bolts.

Tighten the 6 bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb ft) plus 30 degrees plus 15 degrees.

* Remove KM-652 .

2. Install the thrust plate and clutch disc. Refer to Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Pilot Bearing Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission) (Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission))Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only) (Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only)).
