Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the window.
2. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the rubber ring.
4. Remove the water vapor barrier.




5. Remove the belt inner sealing strip
Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.




6. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.
Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.




7. Loosen the lower window channel (3).
Remove the bolt.
8. Remove the rear window channel seal (1).
9. Remove the rear window channel (2).
Remove the bolt.
10. Remove the fixed rear window.
Remove from the window channel.




11. Remove the window guide.

Installation Procedure

Note: Ensure that the window channel is correctly seated.

1. Install the window channel.
2. Install the fixed window.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the front door rear weatherstrip channel.

Tighten the top bolt to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

4. Install the rear lower channel weatherstrip.

Tighten the bolt to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

5. Install the belt outer sealing strip.
6. Install the belt inner sealing strip.

Note: Damaged the water vapor barrier must be replaced

7. Install the water vapor barrier.

* Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
* Cut the foil to size.
* Provide the cut-outs for inside handle with bearing supports and, if available, manual window actuation.
* Install the water vapor barrier without creases.

8. Install the rubber ring.
9. Install the rear door inner paneling, refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Close the window.
