Front Side Door Window Replacement (Coupe)

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Express Down Feature Warning (Service Precautions).

1. Lower the window.
2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the water vapor barrier.

1. Remove the outside rearview mirror wiring harness.
2. Remove the 2 cable brackets (2).
3. Remove the 2 holding angles.
4. Remove the 2 pins (1).





Note: Remove the window belt sealing strip from inside with the appropriate tool.

4. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.

1. Remove the window sealing strip from the rear window frame bracket.
2. Remove the fastening clip from the outer window frames.




5. Remove the rear window channel.
Drill out the 2 rivets.
6. Remove the rear window channel.





Note: Guide the window so in position that the fastening bolts align with the mounting holes.

7. Remove the front door window.

1. Remove the 2 bolts (1).
2. Remove the window regulator from its guide.

8. Remove the window channel on the inner door frame.
Drill out the 2 blind rivets (2).

Note: Lower the window and simultaneously tilt the window forwards.

9. Remove the front door window.

1. Remove the window from the window regulator guide.
2. Remove the window upwards.

Installation Procedure

Note: Gently raise the window and simultaneously tilt the window forwards.

1. Install the front door window.

1. Position the window downwards.
2. Position the window in window regulator guide.

2. Install the window channel on the inner door frame.
Rivet on 2 rivets.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: Guide the window to position the fastening bolts align with the mounting holes.

3. Fasten the front door window and tighten the 2 bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

1. Position the window regulator arm in the window guide.
2. Guide the window upwards and place evenly in weatherstrip and tighten the 2 bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

4. Position the rear window channel.
5. Install the rear window channel.
Rivet on 2 rivets.
6. Install the belt outer sealing strip.

1. Install fastening clip on the outer window frame.
2. Install window channel strip in the window channel bracket.
3. Install the window channel strip onto the door folding.

7. Install the water vapor barrier.

1. Install the external mirror wiring harness.
2. Replace the 2 cable brackets.
3. Install the 2 holding angles.
4. Install the 2 pins.

8. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).
9. Close the window.
