Front Side Door Window Replacement (Sedan)

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Express Down Feature Warning (Service Precautions).

1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the water vapor barrier.

1. Release 2 loom of cables clips.
2. Remove the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling (1)

3. Lower the window.




4. Remove the window belt inner sealing strip.
Pull sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.




5. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.
Remove sealing strip carefully from behind beginning from the top and take out from the rearview mirror backwards.




6. Drill out the rear side door window channel.
Drill out the 2 rivets.
7. Remove the window channel.




8. Remove the front door window.
Remove the 2 bolts (2).

Note: Lower the window to the lowest position and remove from the window channel (3).

9. Remove the window.

Installation Procedure

1. Positioning the front door window.
Position in window channel.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Fasten the front door window and tighten the 2 bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
3. Guide the window upwards and position evenly in weatherstrip and tighten the 2 bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

Note: Observe installation direction.

4. Install the rear front door window channel.

1. Install the 2 rivets.
2. Position in window channel.

5. Install the belt outer sealing strip.
6. Install the belt inner sealing strip.

Note: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced

7. Install the water vapor barrier.

1. Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
2. Cut the foil to size.
3. Provide cut-outs for inside handle with bearing supports and, if available, manual window actuation.
4. Install the water vapor barrier without creases.
5. Install the 2 loom of cables.
6. Install the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling.

8. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).
9. Close the window.
