Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair




Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

Note: It is not necessary to remove the upper steering column trim cover. Only disengage it and leave it loose on top of the steering column.

1. Disengage the upper steering column trim cover from the lower steering column trim covers.
2. Remove the left lower steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement).
3. Remove the driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (SKY) (Service and Repair)Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Solstice) (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the steering column upper support bracket nuts.
5. Loosen but do not remove the steering column lower support bracket bolt.
6. Lower the steering column as needed to gain access to the turn signal multifunction switch.
7. Disconnect the turn signal multifunction switch electrical connector.




8. Depress the locking tabs and remove the turn signal multifunction switch (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Position the turn signal multifunction switch (1) to the steering column housing.
2. Position the steering column back in place.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the steering column upper support bracket nuts and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
4. Tighten the steering column lower support bracket bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
5. Install the driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (SKY) (Service and Repair)Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement (Solstice) (Service and Repair).
6. Install the left lower steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement (Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement).
7. Engage the upper steering column trim cover to the lower steering column trim covers.
