Parking Brake System: Adjustments
ADJUSTMENT1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. ADJUST REAR DRUM BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
4. CHECK PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
a. Pull the parking brake lever to the fully applied position, and count the number of clicks.
Parking brake lever travel: 6 to 9 clicks at 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbs)
5. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL
a. Remove the console box hole cover.
b. Remove the console box carpet.
c. Remove the console box assy rear.
d. Remove the lock nut.
e. Turn the wire adjusting nut No.1 until the lever travel is correct.
f. Tighten the lock nut.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
