FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LH NUT.
SST 09930-00010
3. SEPARATE SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH





4. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts, separate the brake caliper assembly LH from the steering knuckle.

NOTICE: Use a string or other device to keep the brake caliper from hanging down.

5. REMOVE FRONT DISC
6. SEPARATE STABILIZER BAR FRONT
7. SEPARATE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH.

8. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH.
SST 09628-62011
9. SEPARATE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH





10. SEPARATE SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 nuts, separate the shock absorber assembly front LH from the front axle assembly LH.





11. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LH HOLE SNAP RING
a. Using snap ring pliers, remove the LH hole snap ring.





12. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using SST, remove the hub sub-assembly LH.
SST 09520-00031





b. Using SST, remove the inner race of the hub LH bearing from the hub sub-assembly LH.
SST 09950-60010 (09951-00370), 09950-40011 (09951-04020, 09952-04010, 09953-04020, 09954-04010, 09955-04011, 09957-04010, 09958-04011)
13. REMOVE DISC BRAKE DUST COVER FRONT LH
a. Remove the 3 bolts and the dust cover front LH.





14. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LH BEARING
a. Place the inner race of the hub LH bearing on the outer race of the hub LH bearing.
b. Using SST and a press, remove the hub LH bearing from the steering knuckle.
SST 09527-17011, 09950-60010 (09951-00600), 09950-70010 (09951-07100)

NOTICE: Be sure to position the steering knuckle horizontally.





15. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH BEARING
a. Using SST and a press, install a new hub LH bearing on the steering knuckle.
SST 09950-60020 (09951-00680), 09950-70010 (09951-07100)
16. INSTALL DISC BRAKE DUST COVER FRONT LH
a. Install the dust cover front LH with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 73 inch lbs.)





17. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Using SST and a press, install the hub sub-assembly LH.
SST 09950-60020 (09951-00680), 09950-70010 (09951-07100), 09608-32010





18. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH HOLE SNAP RING
a. Using snap ring pliers, install a new LH hole snap ring.





19. INSTALL SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH
a. Install the 2 bolts, the nuts and the shock absorber assembly front LH to the front axle assembly LH.
Torque: 132 Nm (1,350 kgf-cm, 97 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE: Only when reusing the bolts and nuts, apply the small amount of engine oil to the screw part of the nuts.

20. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH
21. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
22. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH
23. INSTALL STABILIZER BAR FRONT
24. INSTALL FRONT DISC





25. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the brake caliper assembly with the 2 bolts to the steering knuckle.
Torque: 88 Nm (900 kgf-cm, 65 ft. lbs.)
26. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH NUT
a. Install a new hub LH nut.
Torque: 216 Nm (2,200 kgf-cm, 159 ft. lbs.)
27. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

NOTICE: Use a string or other device to keep the brake caliper from hanging down.

28. REMOVE FRONT DISC
29. INSPECT FRONT AXLE DEVIATION AND BACKLASH
30. INSTALL FRONT DISC
31. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
32. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH





33. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB LH NUT
a. Using a chisel and a hammer, stake the hub LH nut.
34. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
35. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
36. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
