Driver Side Power Window does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch

DESCRIPTION

If the manual UP / DOWN and AUTO DOWN functions do not operate, a malfunction may exist in the power window regulator master switch, power window regulator motor or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH INPUT POWER SUPPLY)





(a) Disconnect the E4 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:





(d) Reconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
NG -- CHECK AND REPLACE POWER SOURCE AND WIRE HARNESS
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance of the switch when the switch is operated.
Standard resistance:





(c) Reinstall the power window regulator master switch assembly.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR (FRONT LH))
(a) Disconnect the E4 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the E3 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.





(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:





(d) Reconnect the E4 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
(e) Reconnect the E3 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
