EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER STOPPER

HINT
Use the same procedure for both rear bumper upper stoppers.





(a) Remove the rear bumper upper stopper.

2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER





(a) Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

(b) Remove the 2 screws and 4 clips.

(c) Detach the 12 claws and remove the rear bumper cover.

3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER





(a) Remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 REINFORCEMENT





(a) Remove the 4 nuts and rear bumper No. 1 reinforcement.

5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and rear bumper arm.

6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH





(a) Remove the grommet, clip and rear bumper side seal.

8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH





(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Using a clip remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear bumper side retainer.

Tape the clip remover tip before use.

10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Using a clip remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper upper retainer.

Tape the clip remover tip before use.
