SLIDING ROOF / CONVERTIBLE: SLIDING ROOF HOUSING: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING PANEL WITH GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily install the housing with the 18 nuts.
NOTICE:
* When installing the housing to the vehicle, first install the housing center front and center rear alignment bolts to the vehicle front and rear alignment bolt installation points, as shown in the illustration.
* When installing the housing, be careful not to damage the vehicle.

(b) Tighten the 18 nuts in alphabetical order.
Torque : 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf)

2. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF HOUSING ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the sliding roof housing assembly with the 9 nuts.
Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL CENTER SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET LH
(a) Temporarily install the center sliding roof housing mounting bracket LH with the 2 bolts (vehicle body side) and 2 nuts.
(b) Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque : 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL CENTER SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET RH
HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
5. INSTALL FRONT SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET LH
(a) Temporarily install the front sliding roof housing mounting bracket LH with the 2 bolts (vehicle body side) and 2 nuts.
(b) Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque : 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf)
6. INSTALL FRONT SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET RH
HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
7. ADJUST FULLY CLOSED POSITION
(a) Slide the sliding roof shoe sub-assembly and align matchmark B with matchmark A.

8. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

13. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

14. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a T25 "TORX" driver, temporarily install the glass with the 6 screws.
(b) Adjust the sliding roof glass sub-assembly.
(1) Adjust the position of the sliding roof glass sub-assembly so that the measurements match the standard values shown in the table below.
Standard:
(c) Using a T25 "TORX" driver, tighten the 6 screws to install the sliding roof glass sub-assembly.
Torque : 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
16. INSTALL WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING Installation
17. CHECK FOR WATER LEAK
(a) After adjusting the sliding roof glass sub-assembly, check for water leaks.
If there are any leaks, readjust the sliding roof glass sub-assembly.
(b) After checking for water leaks, wipe off any water on the vehicle.
18. RESET SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

19. INSPECT SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM
Operation Check
20. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH
HINT
* Perform this step after moving the sliding roof glass sub-assembly to the fully open position.
* Adjust the position of the sliding roof side garnish LH so that the measurement matches the standard value shown in the table below.
Standard:
(a) Install the sliding roof side garnish LH.
21. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH
HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
22. INSTALL ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Slide the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly along the grooves of the No. 1 sliding roof housing panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to install it.

(b) Rotate and slide the left and right holders as shown in the illustration, and then attach the claws to install them to the sliding roof guide rail.

(c) Install the 2 springs.
