Seat Temperature Switch: Testing and Inspection

SEAT: SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ Seat Heater System): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH LH





(a) Check the switch function.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

(b) Check the seat heater switch indicator.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

(c) Check the seat heater switch illumination.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch illumination illuminates.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH RH





(a) Check the switch function.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

(b) Check the seat heater switch indicator.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

(c) Check the seat heater switch illumination.

(1) Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch illumination illuminates.

OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.
