SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

(a) Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the handle.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and handle.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the clamp and disconnect the cable from the cushion shield.

(c) Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

(d) Detach the clamp and disconnect the cable from the cushion shield.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the inner cushion shield.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the inner cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for Driver Side:

(b) for Front Passenger Side:

Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the rubber band from the seat cushion spring.

(b) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Detach the claw, disconnect the seat cushion heater connector and detach the wire harness clamps.

(2) Disconnect the seatback heater connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

(d) Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

(e) Detach the hooks.

(f) Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) w/ Seat Heater System:

Disconnect the seat cushion heater wire harness from the seat cushion cover.

(b) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

11. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and guide, and then remove the cover cap.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

12. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Move the lever in the direction of the arrow to detach the guide.

(c) Disconnect the cable as shown in the illustration, and then remove the control lever.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(b) for Cloth Seat:

Detach the hook and open the fastener, and then open the seatback cover.

(d) Remove the 3 hog rings and disconnect the strap of the seatback cover.

(e) Remove the nut, detach the 2 hooks and disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback spring.

(f) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

(g) Detach the 4 hooks and remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback spring.

14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

(b) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 hooks and remove the protector.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER EQUALIZING CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the clamp of the cable end.

(b) Twist the cable end in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the cable.

21. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Detach the 2 clamps of the cable end.

(b) Twist the 2 cable ends in the directions indicated by the arrows and disconnect the 2 cables.

(c) Detach the clamp and remove the No. 2 seat adjuster control cable.

22. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTING CABLE ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Detach the clamp of the cable end.

(b) Twist the cable end in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect the cable.

(c) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the reclining adjusting cable.

23. REMOVE SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Detach the 2 clamps of the cable end.

(2) Twist the 2 cable ends in the directions indicated by the arrows and disconnect the 2 cables.

(3) Detach the 3 clamps and remove the cable.

(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Detach the 2 clamps of the cable end.

(2) Twist the 2 cable ends in the directions indicated by the arrows and remove the cable.

24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH Removal

25. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side) Removal

26. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors.

(b) Detach the claw and 6 clamps, and then remove the seat wire.

28. REMOVE CAP

(a) Remove the 2 caps.

29. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and seatback spring.

30. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Detach the guide.

(b) Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

31. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (for Front Passenger Side)
