Installation
SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
(a) Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(b) Connect the seat wire connectors under the seat.
(c) Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
(d) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.
(e) Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)
(f) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the foremost position.
(g) Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK COVER LH
(a) Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.
3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK COVER LH
(a) Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to attach the guide.
(b) Attach the claw to install the cover.
4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER
(a) Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the seat to the rearmost position.
(b) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 covers.
5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

8. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
for Front Passenger Side:
* When removing the front seat assembly RH, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.
* When replacing the occupant classification ECU, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.
(a) w/ Seat Heater System:
Check the seat heater operation.
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) Turn the seat heater switch on.
(3) Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
