DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration Programming and Relearning.
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ABS Warning Light Remains ON

B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING) How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

OK:

The ABS warning light comes on.

NG -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ABS WARNING LIGHT)

OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ABS WARNING LIGHT) ABS Warning Light Remains ON

B -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING) How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

A -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
