1. INSPECT SET SWITCH
(a) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(b) Check that the cruise control indicator light in the combination meter assembly illuminates.
(c) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
(d) Push the cruise control main switch to -SET.
(e) Check that the cruise control SET indicator light in the combination meter assembly illuminates.
(f) After releasing the switch, check that the vehicle cruises at the desired speed.

(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
(c) Push the cruise control main switch to -SET.
(d) Check that the vehicle speed increases while the cruise control main switch is pushed to +RES, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.
(e) Momentarily push the cruise control main switch upward to +RES and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed increases by about 1.6 km/h (1 mph) (tap-up function).
3. INSPECT "-" SWITCH

(d) Check that the vehicle speed decreases while the cruise control main switch is pushed down to -SET, and that the vehicle cruises at the set speed when the cruise control main switch is released.
(e) Momentarily push the cruise control main switch downward to -SET and immediately release it. Check that the vehicle speed decreases by about 1.6 km/h (1 mph) (tap-down function).
4. INSPECT CANCEL FUNCTION (CANCEL SWITCH)
(a) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(b) Drive the vehicle at a desired speed (between approximately 40 km/h and 200 km/h [25 mph and 125 mph]).
(c) Push the cruise control main switch to -SET.
(d) When performing one of the following, check that the cruise control system is canceled and that the normal driving mode is reset.
* Depressing the brake pedal
* Pushing the cruise control main switch off
* Pulling the cruise control main switch to CANCEL
* Driving the vehicle while the vehicle stability control system is operating
* for Automatic Transaxle:
Moving the shift lever from D or S to a position other than D or S, selecting the 3rd, 2nd or 1st range with the shift lever in S, or selecting the 3rd, 2nd or 1st range using the paddle switches with the shift lever in D

* for Manual Transaxle:
Depressing the clutch pedal
(e) After the cruise control main switch is pushed up to +RES at a driving speed of more than approximately 40 km/h (25 mph), check that the vehicle restores the speed that was set before the cancellation.
