Removal
HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL
1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Removal
4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE CENTER ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal
7. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 3 clamps.
(b) Remove the bolt and No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler compressor.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
9. REMOVE SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and suction hose sub-assembly from the cooler compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
10. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
(b) Using an E8 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 stud bolts and cooler compressor.
