DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects whether the ignition switch is ON or off, and sends this information to the main body ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (IGNITION SWITCH)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List Interior Lighting System.

OK:

The display is as specified in the normal condition column.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the 2G and 2D instrument panel junction block connectors.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the 2C instrument panel junction block connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Removal.





(b) Reconnect the 2G, 2C and 2D instrument panel junction block connectors.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
