Applicability
Introduction
Some 2011-2013 model year Scion tC vehicles may exhibit a ticking noise from the roof side rail area when driving, regardless of the panoramic moon roof position (i.e., open, tilted, or closed). A pad kit has been developed to address this condition.

Repair Procedure
1. Remove the panoramic moon roof assembly.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual:
2. Inspect the moon roof assembly rails for marks Figure 2.
where it may be contacting the vehicle. If there are marks as shown in Figure 2, proceed to the next step. If there are NO marks, this bulletin does NOT apply.
3. Place the moon roof assembly upside down while taking precautions to prevent damage during the repair process.
4. Prepare the surface and install the sliding roof housing pads onto the left and right side rails of the panoramic moon roof assembly as shown in Figure 3.
5. Install the panoramic moon roof according to the Repair Manual:

6. Test drive the vehicle to verify the noise is no longer present.
