DESCRIPTION

When an additional transponder key is registered, the transponder key ECU assembly detects the front door courtesy light switch LH open/close condition, and enters the key registration mode.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (D DOOR COURTESY SW)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

OK:

The driver door courtesy light switch on and off according to operation via the Techstream.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT)

(a) Disconnect the C50 transponder key ECU assembly connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH

(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch LH Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
