SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the parts could cause injuries to your hands.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (for Driver Side)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover.

3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and remove the vertical adjusting handle.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the claw and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD

(a) Remove the 2 bands shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the 2 hooks.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the 10 hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

9. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the 3 hog rings shown in the illustration

11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

(a) Turn back the front seatback cover to remove the nut, and separate the bracket of the front seatback with cover pad.

(b) Remove the seatback cover with pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

12. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 8 hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and remove the front seatback bracket sub-assembly.

15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.

16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster outside cover.

18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

21. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Removal

22. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Removal

23. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 3 clamps and the front seat wire.
