Reassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat back frame could cause injuries to your hands.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Install the 3 clamps and front seat wire.

2. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

3. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR Installation

4. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Engage the claw and install the front seat cushion lower shield.

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster outside cover with the screw.

8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Tighten the screw.

10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the front seatback bracket sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with the 8 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Do not soil or scratch the rear seatback cover.
* When installing hog rings, minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

(a) Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
* Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings as shown in the illustration.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the protruding portions of the front seat headrest support with the installation grooves of the front seatback frame.

(b) Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

16. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the front seat cushion cover with the 10 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Do not soil or scratch the rear seat cushion cover.
* When installing hog rings, minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

(b) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings as shown in the illustration.

18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD

(a) Engage the 2 claws and 7 hooks, and install the front seat cushion cover pad.

(b) Fix the front seat side airbag wire harness with the front seat cushion cover pad fixing

(c) Install the 2 hooks.

(d) Install the 2 bands shown in the illustration.

19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the claw and the clip and install the front seat cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws and the clip and install the front seat cushion shield.

(b) Install the 3 screws.

22. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

(a) Install the vertical adjusting handle with the 2 screws.

23. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (for Driver Side)

(a) Engage the 3 claws and then install the vertical adjuster cover.

24. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle.
