2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (except TMC Made Engine)
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the crankshaft position sensor.

NOTICE:
If reusing the crankshaft position sensor, be sure to inspect the O-ring.
(b) Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.
Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
* If the crankshaft position sensor has been dropped or subjected to a strong shock, replace it with a new one.
* Be careful not to damage or pinch the O-ring during installation.
(c) Connect the crankshaft position sensor wire to the wire harness clamp bracket.
(d) Engage the clamp and connect the crankshaft position sensor connector to the connector clamp bracket.
(e) Connect the connector of the crankshaft position sensor.
2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for TMC Made Engine)
(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the crankshaft position sensor.

(b) Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.

(c) Engage the clamp and connect the crankshaft position sensor wire to the water pump.
(d) Connect the crankshaft position sensor wire to the wire harness clamp bracket.
(e) Engage the clamp and connect the crankshaft position sensor connector to the connector clamp bracket.
(f) Connect the crankshaft position sensor wire to the rib portion of the chain cover.
(g) Connect the connector of the crankshaft position sensor.

4. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
(a) Start the engine and check that there are no oil leaks.
