Removal
WIPER AND WASHER: FRONT WIPER MOTOR: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the 2 windshield wiper arm covers.
2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Operate the wiper, then stop the windshield wiper motor in the automatic stop position.
(b) Remove the nut and front wiper arm.
3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
4. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
(a) Disengage the 5 clips and remove the hood to cowl top seal.
5. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the cowl top ventilator louver.
6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cowl top ventilator louver.
7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Slide the wiper link. Disengage the link from the rubber pin, then disconnect the connector and remove the front wiper motor and link.
8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry the second rod off the crank arm pivot of the front wiper motor.
(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry the first rod off the crank arm pivot of the front wiper motor.
(c) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 2 screws, and the front wiper motor.
