SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) Service Precautions.

NOTICE:
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side for LHD. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides of LHD, unless otherwise specified.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the buckle switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the airbag connector.

(1) Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

(c) Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.





3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the buckle switch connector.





(b) Disconnect the airbag connector.

(1) Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

(c) Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 4 bolts and front seat.
