HIGH ALTITUDE KIT (Except Calif. Spec. Models).

GENERAL
For your information, this bulletin describes the high altitude kit installation procedure to modify a vehicle from low-altitude to high-altitude specifications and vice versa. This information is provided to dealers in low altitude areas for information only.

1983 vehicles used primarily in areas of 4000 feet and above (except California Models) must be equipped with a high altitude kit. Three kits are available for 1983 and applicability depends on the model vehicle.

KIT PART # APPLICABILITY

A 483337200 FED LDV Hitachi (49 State FWD)
B 483337300 FED LDV Carter (49 State FWD)
C 483337400 FED LDT Hitachi (49 State 4WD)

If a high altitude modified vehicle is returned to a low altitude area for its principal use, the high altitude kit must be removed and the vehicle restored to its original specifications. Therefore, return all removed parts to the owner after modifying the vehicle.

An Instruction Manual is also included with each kit.
