Reimbursement
CLAIM PROCESSING INFORMATION - REIMBURSEMENTDealers must utilize the two-part Recall Certification/Repair order form to track the performance of this recall. Therefore, it is very important that all information on the form be complete and correct.
All claims for reimbursement should follow the procedures outlined below.
You must complete the repairing dealer section of the two-part Recall Certification/Repair Order Form and remove and retain the first copy for your records.
Star System Dealers may enter the applicable information using the Campaign Claim (RY) routine.
Non Star System dealers will be reimbursed upon submission of the remaining copy of the Recall Certification,' Repair Order Form to your Distributor/Region in an envelope with postage prepaid.
Dealers will be credited with one (1) hour at their warranty labor rate plus parts and a handling allowance for (A) anti-rust oil (1/3 can), (B) anti-rust wax (1 can), (C) 4 sealing plugs, and (D) sealant (30 grm.) applicable to one vehicle repair based on processing the two-part Recall Certification/Repair Order Form.
Credit for additional repairs described in the Service Procedure will be provided based on the submission of a standard warranty claim, MSA 400A. The failure code is WZU-41 and the override code is WZU-41. You will be credited with the additional warranty labor time plus parts and handling allowance for the operation performed, when components are replaced.
Labor allowances are in SECTION G FLAT RATE INFORMATION sheet at the end of the Service Procedure Section G. Parts allowances are in the PARTS INFORMATION section.
In the event a vehicle needs to be towed to a Subaru dealer for repairs under this campaign, towing charges will be reimbursed using MSA-400A, and labor operation 101-207, 0.0 hours, failure code TOW-00.
Dealers in retail states will be credited at the retail rate.
Any claim for other consequential damages should be reviewed with your Regional/Distributor Service Manager prior to repair.
REIMBURSEMENT FOR PREVIOUS REPAIR
Owners are being advised in the owner letter that if they have previously paid an authorized Subaru Dealer for a repair of a corrosion perforated rear suspension arm or crossmember, they may be entitled to reimbursement. The owners are further advised that for consideration of any reimbursement they must submit the original or original carbon copy of the repair invoice to Subaru of America.
