Undercoating and Rustproofing - Application Precautions

APPLICABILITY: ALL 1985 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIR SUSPENSION
SUBJECT: UNDERCOATING AND RUSTPROOFING PRECAUTIONS
Special precautions must be observed whenever undercoating or rustproofing a 1985 vehicle equipped with air suspension.
Do not apply rustproof or undercoat to the left front inner fender area. This is the location of the air tanks and compressor assembly. Rustproofing or undercoating on this unit could cause severe damage to the air suspension system.
Do not undercoat or rustproof any one of the four air bags on the air strut assemblies, or solenoids located on the rear strut assemblies. Any undercoating or rustproofing applied to these assemblies may damage the air suspension system.
DAMAGE TO THE AIR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS FROM RUSTPROOFING OR UNDERCOATING WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED A MATTER FOR WARRANTY.
